Jan Smuts Avenue is one of Johannesburg's busiest roads, situated in the North of Johannesburg, Jan Smuts Avenue connects the city's main nodes. it spans 12km connecting Johannesburg CBD, Braamfontein to Randburg.

The road passes through dozens of suburbs and popular nodes such as Parktown, Saxonworld, Rosebank, Parktown North, Craigall Park and Blairgowrie. The road also works as an important feeder to multiple highways and surrounding suburbs.
